Evening 10 - 2-6-10

Last night the club held their first evening club ten mile time trial of the year. As in previous years the course was the UC361R Frome bypass course.

This event was organised by Tom Ryan. Sue Ryan looked after the signing-on sheet and numbers. Tony Thorne was on hand to hold up the riders at the start.

Early cloud during the day had cleared to leave a warm, sunny evening with dry roads. There was scarcely a whisper of wind to disturb the treetops.

Simon Day is a member of the Frome and District Wheelers.

The weather conditions had hinted at a fast evening and that's how it turned out. Rob's time is the fastest we've seen in a club event on this course. Other riders, including Tom Ryan and Chris Aitchison, also went a lot quicker than in previous club events on this course.

Oliver Schofield was riding his first time trial and managed to go off course and have his handlebars work loose during the event. So his time is somewhat deceptive. Jonathan should start looking over his shoulder for a fast approaching young son!

The next club event is a ten mile time trial on this course at 7:00PM on Wednesday 16th June.
